Environmental Foundation Awards UNPLUG Salem 12K Grant
Endowment Policy The Environmental Endowment of New Jersey has awarded The UNPLUG Salem Campaign Close the Salem Nukes Now, a grant of twelve thousand dollars for the Campaigns public education work from May 1 2002 through May 1, 2003. This is the fifth time the Environmental Endowment has awarded a grant to the UNPLUG Salem Campaign. Grants in the past have ranged from seven to fifteen thousand dollars.
A 501(c)(3) organization classified by the IRS as a private foundation whose primary purpose is to conduct research, social welfare, or other programs as determined by its charter or governing body. Most of the foundation funds are used for the foundation's own programs. Operating foundations may award grants, however the amount of the grants is generally small.
Selling Endowment The Environmental Endowment of New Jersey focuses on organizations working on issues concerning the Delaware Estuary, and estuaries in North Jersey.
These grants provide up to $2, or boating education program in their school. day training workshop. Grant funds can be used for transportation to and from the training workshop. Room and board will be covered by the Future Fisherman Foundation and does not come out of the grant award.
